The story of SaaremaaSaaremaa Vodka, traditional windmill vodka, is produced from our very own 150 meter deep driven well water, combined with six-row barley, slowly ripened under the white nights of the North into the strongest spirits. Thanks to our patented distillation process, the quality after distillation is so high no further filtration processes are required and the result is a cool, crisp and crystal clear vodka – ideal as an ice cold shot or as the base for a refreshing cocktail.
Hey you, an easy-going man or woman with a spirit of Saaremaa,
Yes, you who are reading these lines right now. Everybody has a bit of Saaremaa spirit in him or her – some more, some less. For some it comes up when eating smoked fish by the bonfire, for others when dancing with a fair-haired girl in moonlight. But we all want to enjoy sailing through the seas of life: like a fully loaded herring boat cutting through the foamy waves of the Atlantic. And if we happen to meet somewhere, let’s enjoy ourselves.
Find Saaremaa inside yourself – mönuga!

The pattern consists of 27 different shapes that have been perfectly fitted together. Some shapes are characteristic of Saaremaa as a small Estonian island (mill, boat, sheep, ram, herring, seal, lobster, snail, flounder, etc.), some are mystical and vodka-like (wolf with a fishtail, devil, water-nymph, flying saurus, hovering ghost, flying horse, seashell with eyes, etc.).

The moon is as round as a snake eating its tail. The skies open up, water pours out and the sea is born. Large ships are built and people row until an island appears from the sea. A fire is started and water, which melts frozen hearts, is burnt from the fire. Stories flow out of people and start to live their own lives. Clouds escape; the moon and the sun are in the sky together. People sing and laugh so that even birds fly off from the treetops. Their wing feathers brush the cheek. The snake curls up in the bushes, feeling cosy. The moon that has shrunk into a sickle starts to grow again…
